IPL Story

IPL - The Indian Premiere League commenced a couple of weeks back almost and its certainly caught the imagination of people in India. It has provided some good cricket some exiting finishes to close games and then to top it all some good entertainment with all the non cricket activities on Tv and the ground....
As far as attracting people to watch cricket in the ground is concerned then it is a huge success but it seems that the ticket prices has been slightly high. but this can be sorted out...
The only disappointment is that not many Indian cricketers have been making news for good performances in the IPL. Hope this will be sorted out as the tourney progresses..
With just the initial weeks of the IPL completed but it is sure that this is going to take cricket and T20 cricket into a new level.

Only Gossip and no Play

I was playing basket ball with a friend of mine today. I usually play only on the weekends. We noticed that this weekend there were many more people playing at the basket ball court. This was due to kids having their summer vacations. Ok but today there were a few small girls who came to play at the court and played a very simple kinda game. since we too were playing on the same side of the court we had to sometimes wait for the girls to finish their playing or move aside a bit...
Then after some time the girls just dint move away or continued to play. They were just gossiping in the middle of the court and not playing at all... It was a bit frustrating but then i thought to myself, is this how girls play their game...
More gossip about all the nonsense in the world and not playing at all.. Then i wondered if this was the part of the reason for female sports not picking up in India???
