Save tigers

It is again in the news and this time it is too serious to ignore.
Yes - The tiger numbers in India are down again and are at a very frighteningly low number of 1411 in the wild. Just establishing and naming a wildlife sanctuary is not enough is it??
Something needs to be done and done fast. Th govt of India and the leaders need to show some respect for wildlife. Showing respect for the life of a certain animal will in itself make the people think towards conservation and probably take steps to do something about it.
There needs to a strong public and political will to save the most beautiful of the Big Cats - the tiger. It seems to be fighting for survival on its own and has no support.
Hope that some concrete steps are taken to save the King of the Indian Jungle....

Force to recon with?

Force India - the formula one team launched its car for the 2008 season yesterday. VJM-10 stading for Vijay Mallaya. He seemed very proud to own a F1 team and to put an India owned car in the FIA championship.
The papers have it saying that Vijay Mallaya has promised a podium finish by 2010. True the campaign and the marketting of the product is going grt. Mallaya can take this as a main source for advertising his products from his other business ventures..
Is Force India truly a force to Recon with or just a publicity stunt?
