2 Years of Learning

A couple of years ago i had entered this place with a dream to fulfill. It was the most amazing place I have ever lived in and felt it was like a new life that was beginning. Well it really was like a rebirth for me, my confidence and Of course my work life.
I had a emotional departure from this place and had been to Pune. It was the first time i was going into my native state of Maharashtra. I was so exited and full of energy. A new place, new people and life in a rented apartment. U will surely have loads of fun and lots to learn in life. It was a very enriching experience, i mean 'Experience'.
I returned to my home city of Bangalore and have been working here for around 10 months now.

I now work in a place like this and It is like working in a oasis full of life and energy. Loads of work and lots to learn and at the end of the day you feel like you have always had fun doing work.

This turly feels like im in an oasis. Well we have some fountains and some ponds with a lot of fishes, where we can do some boating as a means of relaxation. But yeah we tend to relax a bit and enjoy. Some times i feel like we go to work to have fun like kids. check it out...

It has been 2 years of learning and enjoyment and cherishing a dream. Cant believe it has been 2 years, but it is one of the best places to be in. Congratulations to all Jan06LC1 batch ppl for completing 2 years of work and a place called Infy. It just feels amazing :)

Most Emotional Song for some time - TZP

After a loooooong time i got to see a very emotional song in a movie. Maa from Taare Zameen Par.
This song has amazing lyrics and the kinda of situational song that takes me back to the day when i was entering My hostel and i was seeing off my parents.
The film itself is wonderful. AK at his best. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!
heads past all other movies of the year 2007.

Watch if you haven't yet watched it yet...

My First Shot at Poetry

Hi...
The Other day i was speaking with a friend of my school days and we were just chatting about our jobs .....
During the conversation i felt that i don't work much at all (w.r.t the time i spent in office and the time i return home after work). Well i sometimes feel i work hard but that's just a feeling :)
Well i don't know is it just coincidence or something that i really wanted to do seriously.. i started getting work at office which was more challenging. The Next day i was jogging early at 5:30 in the morn and was one with myself. It was dark and i could hardly see 5 feet before me clearly and suddenly it all came together and i felt i should express it a different way...
So here goes my first shot at poetry....

Tumhari nazar lag gayi mere kaam par,
Mere ghar jaane ke time par,
Manager ne dena shuru kiya jyada kaam,
Jissse hone laga mera neend haraam,
Pichle teen din se sir phataaa jaa rahaa hain,
Phir bhi chutkara nahi mil raha hain kaam se,
Na paper padhne ka time hain,
Na TV dekhne ka time hain,
Bas kaam hi kaam hain,
Phir bhi kaam karte karte mazaa aaa rahaa hain.

Well its great to have challenging work again after a gap of a month or so...

Atrocious Umpiring

I never thought India in the current Test series would be 2 down after the second test between India and Australia. If India was playing the Australian 11 then i would not have believed this result. But against an Australian 11 + the 3 Umpires officiating this test match, can be imagined as a fair result. That has been the highlight of this Test Match between India and Australia at the SCG.
A bit of Intro of the Umpires is surely Justified here...
Steve Bucknor - Very Experienced Umpire from the west Indies. Has been known for some bad decisions against the Indians but also has been lauded for the immense experience and high quality of umpiring in the past.
Mark Benson - A new comer if you compare him with Bucknor's experience.
Bruce Oxenford - An Australian.
Australia were on the mat at 134 for 6. It could have been a different story even before this. Australia finished very strongly with 463 runs in the first innings. All credit to the Umpires. Including the third Umpire.
Wrong decisions all the way. How can a thick edge be missed by an umpire like Steve bucknor? I will give the benifit of the doubt for Lbw and faint edges to the umpires, but not thick edges. Terrible Umpiring!!!!!
Most Umpires in ODI's and Tests have started referring the slightest of doubtful or even very clear not out decisions to the 3rd Umpire for confirmation and in this case the Umpires dont refer a few decisions to be made by the 3rd Umpire. What was Bucknor thinking. His eyesight must be the best in the world...
Ok they referred a decision to the 3rd Umpire, well what can be said about this, the 3rd Umpire this time gets into the save Australia mode and gives the batsman not out when replays clearly show that the batsman was out. What the hell was the Match referee sitting besides the 3rd Umpire doing at that point of time??? I cant believe a 3rd umpire can make such errors when you have slow motion replays from all sorts of angles in the cricket field nowadays.
OK India did well by taking a lead in the first Innings, but again some decisions go against India to cost India the Match..
I may ask "Why this has to Happen against India always?". It happens in cricket you may say.
Not Often do you get to see a 11 vs 14 Match and that too at the highest level. There were at least 7-8 decisions against India in this test match. Looking at Steve Bucknors decisions against India in the past, i believe he should be thrown out of the Umpiring panel. He should be sacked with Immediate effect!!!!!!!!
As far as Mark Benson is concerned, he is getting a really good experience of giving bad decisions, this should be highlighted in his resume hereafter...

Bad Luck India.... You played really well....
