Yes that was the date and time the Beijing 2008 Olympics started.
The grandest of all sporting events on the face of the planet has begun. Here every sports person wears his nations pride and expectation on his sleeve and fights for his country.
I was a bit late from office to watch the opening ceremony but was in time to watch India march into the stadium. Very noticeable was the smaller size of the Indian team with the Hockey team not making it to the Olympics.
Well the next 15 days or so will be amazing experience for all the sports persons representing his respective country and I am looking forward to keep track of it... What about you?
